Drop Pull
In order to build your pectoral muscles fast you will have to use both body weight resistance and weight resistance simultaneously in super sets. A pull up bar, dumbbells and a bar bell weighted appropriately is all you will need for equipment.
Don't panic if you don't have a pull up bar as good old military style pushups will work in a pinch. Before you begin
Before you begin an accelerated pectoral building regiment be certain your body's health will support your efforts. A well hydrated body that has a good protein intake and a lean diet and lots of deep sleep will be able to repair muscle damage and provide proper nutrients to the muscle site allowing boosted bulk at a faster pace.
The Muscle Building Triangle
The Muscle Building Triangle is not a location on your body it is the three things that give strength and speed to any muscle building regime. In case you missed the line up of the triangle above the triangle is formed by appropriate dietary intake, proper sleep and rest along with weight resistance exercise sets.
Super and Drop Down Sets for Speed
Super and drop down sets will increase muscle mass and tone quicker provided your body has conditioned its triangle for muscle building. Do it right and you'll quickly build without injury. Do it wrong and you'll waste time and have to back track after you nurse your injuries.
The super set is two separate sets in a workout combined back to back without a break. For Pectoral building I like to use on weight resistance set followed immediately with a body weight resistance set such as a bench press set followed by a pull up or push up set.
Drop down sets with barbell weight at the top end of comfort with bench presses until muscle failure. Repeat with a dropped weight load until muscle failure is reached again. This can be repeated through three to four muscle failures. Drop downs need repair time so should not be done without a few days in between each drop down session and preferably a week.
Dumbbells aren't for "Dumb" people
There's a lot to be said for using dumbbells to build pectoral muscle mass. Because dumbbells are easily stored they can be picked up multiple times a day and be used in a quick superset like the Dumbbell Fly and a Press Up. You don't need to dress for the gym or a strenuous workout. By grabbing a set of dumbbells here and there and doing a quick set of pectoral muscle growth boosters you'll be boosting the yield of your regular pectoral muscle building regiment. Do pay very close attention to your muscle building triangle. A triangle represents strength because all sides are balanced and each applies equal pressure to the next and as a collective unit they represent strength.
